Traveling
I've been traveling a ton and with the holidays coming up I decided to knit some projects that I can donate before Christmas. The first is a knitted baby blanket that will go to Catholic Charities for the Lullaby League and the second is a scarf that will be dropped at my childrens' school for their winter gear collection for the needy.

Scrappy Quilt
I had some leftovers from the skull quilt so I made a lap sized quilt for another friend. This was a just because quilt. I had to buy some backing but was able to find a wide backing at my LQS that worked perfect.
A Wedding Quilt
My friend is getting married in a few weeks and I made her a quilt using a Jolly Bar pattern as inspiration. She loves all things skull and volunteers for a cat rescue (and has 5 herself).

Mug Rug for a Munchkin
My Mom has a very similar mug rug at her house made from scraps of a quilt that was made for a dear friend who died from pancreatic cancer. My neice loves the mug rug, taking it and snuggling it every time she is at my parent's house. I dug out some scraps and made one for her to take home.
She hugged it and cuddled it the second I gave it to her.

40th Birthday Present
I finished this in the nick of time for my brother in law's 40th birthday. This is the last one that I needed to make for my husband's side of the family.
I have some scraps from this quilt as well as another WVU one that I'm going to make into a baby quilt for when our close friends from college have a baby.
Both of my sister in laws turn 40 in 2 years and both said they were hoping for quilts too. People don't realize how much time and money goes into a quilt. If I made quilts for them I would have to make them for my other brother in law and sister in law too. At some point you have to draw the line and stop.

EPP Stars
I pulled out my EPP again this weekend and added this star to the collection.
I'm planning on adding a bunch this weekend after I finish binding my brother in law's 40th birthday present.
Finished Scrappy Baby Quilt
I finished binding this quilt on Saturday. The entire quilt is scraps from my stash which makes me (and my wallet) happy. My Mom will be giving the quilt to her neighbor's daughter who is having a baby girl in September.

Flag Table Runners
When Camille Roskelley released her flag quilt pattern I immediately purchased the pattern. Somehow I ended up with 2 fat quarter bundles of Daysail so I broke into one and started making table runners. Below are the table runners that I made for my Mom, Aunt and Sister. I used what I had so they didn't cost me a dime. I stretched my quilting and quilted stars into them.
Hexie Project
I finished up an English paper pieced hexie pillow for my Mom using scraps from a quilt that I made for her.

2) 40th birthday quilt for my brother in law
3) new pillow covers for my living room
4) hexie pillow for my mom
5) Christmas quilt top (I got so close in Q1...it's been on my design wall waiting to be finished)
Hopefully there will be more.

Table Runner
This has been my go to pattern...my SIL loved the pattern and picked out the fabric to match her dining room. I did modify the pattern to make it about 4 inches longer.
Baby Knitting
I've been traveling a bunch which doesn't leave much time at the machine so nice been knitting. My brother and his wife just welcomed my newest nephew so I made him a little hat, bootie and mitten set. This is the same pattern that my Grandma made for every baby. The pattern was 19 cents decades ago 😊. Since she is no longer with us I've taken on the Baby knitting.

New Kitchen and a Q1 Finish
Not totally new, but getting there. We changed the paint color over the summer and recently opened up the kitchen to the dining room.
First Finish of Q1
A college friend and her husband are having a baby boy in March and are die hard WVU fans. The baby's quilt is finished. I will add a tag after his arrival with his birth stats.

2016 Finish Along- Q1 List
Writing things down helps me to stay focused and complete those items. For me there is nothing more satisfying than crossing something off a to-do-list. Here is my 2016 Q1 To Do List
1) Piece the top to my 2010 (yes 2010!) Fat Quarter Shop Mystery Block of the Month. It is lovely fabric from Kate Spain (12 Days of Christmas)
2) Piece a second 2010 Mystery BOM quilt. I made enough blocks for 2 quilts that have been sitting around for 6 years.
3) Make a baby quilt for my nephew who is expected in February 2016.
4) Make a baby top with my finished blocks from my 2013 Fat Quarter Shop Mystery Block of the Month, I actually kept up with these blocks but never finished the top.
6) I have 4 flimsies with their backs hanging in my closet, I would like to get these 4 basted and quilted. They will then be donated. I am linking up with Elven Garden.

Mini for one of my minis
I'm a little late to the Spell it With Moda party. Here is my first letter mini for my youngest. She's obsessed with pink and orange so Me and My Sister Designs fabric was perfect for her.
I needed a quick and easy project and this was so fun and easy. I made a K yesterday for my other mini. Hers is a lovely mix of pinks from Me and My Sisters Designs as well. Sewing the binding down tonight.
Knitted Afghan
I made a baby blanket for the Lullaby League donation at Christmas which is hosted by my daughters' school.
