The first is a knitted baby blanket that will go to Catholic Charities for the Lullaby League and the second is a scarf that will be dropped at my childrens' school for their winter gear collection for the needy.<div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiblwLHtT0-tSv2GLt1u33hgLuk3TB0VM2_glyoZAomN0sS4ykuT80T7OD3ZSQbWvZq9gJVx7sdzyAMktppyEP2QdxqDIFv1rp4dmTtwJArc5XmlIrCUH8bguyGRcoELoec_lpI_wMuI8M/s640/blogger-image-92520611.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiblwLHtT0-tSv2GLt1u33hgLuk3TB0VM2_glyoZAomN0sS4ykuT80T7OD3ZSQbWvZq9gJVx7sdzyAMktppyEP2QdxqDIFv1rp4dmTtwJArc5XmlIrCUH8bguyGRcoELoec_lpI_wMuI8M/s640/blogger-image-92520611.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiReUCBx2k8rsVQZFCI-iLUay9lf9PEq8wCtZ-qgqljRFwCt0_p4ytwdNiEwPSBZ67LkovWmICaHbDeRjxKJDtGZOb1kZMKmDSSfIu64PwvX6PF1SmSkXW3Q2eBc-1KsI8xWAClXW-a2dE/s640/blogger-image-1447049815.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiReUCBx2k8rsVQZFCI-iLUay9lf9PEq8wCtZ-qgqljRFwCt0_p4ytwdNiEwPSBZ67LkovWmICaHbDeRjxKJDtGZOb1kZMKmDSSfIu64PwvX6PF1SmSkXW3Q2eBc-1KsI8xWAClXW-a2dE/s640/blogger-image-1447049815.jpg"></a></div><br></div>I used up a bunch of yarn in my stash for the baby blanket making it a win-win!</div>Julie Thompsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02059616042851004720noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7276185859971770391.post-38834191688452285152016-09-04T11:31:00.001-04:002016-09-04T11:31:52.596-04:00Scrappy QuiltI had some leftovers from the skull quilt so I made a lap sized quilt for another friend. Somehow I ended up with 2 fat quarter bundles of Daysail so I broke into one and started making table runners. Below are the table runners that I made for my Mom, Aunt and Sister. I used what I had so they didn't cost me a dime. I stretched my quilting and quilted stars into them.<div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsb5Huez9p97DiW_xCwiTZICpeJlmesVUgtVBf76HDNwrfeji5tfoF1Jlfz9eqqWVQ_muX5kVq8xSkfM4UtEPtirZ46zr3PqtzRt5YRD7Zgvd1wSntOZkOZgHc8IjKUc6_gFz2kzRiJcw/s640/blogger-image--1198940189.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsb5Huez9p97DiW_xCwiTZICpeJlmesVUgtVBf76HDNwrfeji5tfoF1Jlfz9eqqWVQ_muX5kVq8xSkfM4UtEPtirZ46zr3PqtzRt5YRD7Zgvd1wSntOZkOZgHc8IjKUc6_gFz2kzRiJcw/s640/blogger-image--1198940189.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBCNGJJH1IhirYk8ilBoRXgu_toL-EmSrrFiYx_32UjDvShEKymMobKzAyAYlhMn0QQdqQUL5sBP3kg5-docIti7wZi1Csttw7phX6s75gc6uZ-ROKcpZ_VO8bSA7Yx7xYt-doBIUgAcM/s640/blogger-image--878112455.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBCNGJJH1IhirYk8ilBoRXgu_toL-EmSrrFiYx_32UjDvShEKymMobKzAyAYlhMn0QQdqQUL5sBP3kg5-docIti7wZi1Csttw7phX6s75gc6uZ-ROKcpZ_VO8bSA7Yx7xYt-doBIUgAcM/s640/blogger-image--878112455.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTXFFt_YTpHwjeRwEj9JYjU67o_b9vles4F69ASB6xsz6j4xumVaWCX3fnfzyuqDtcDLs3UHCKBwJim-ydn2NhGJq8_KZ5pecf-t6vdk_gHh5yxd5WrD-kOjXTn6WodS7rInERLXGMIkc/s640/blogger-image--1924780306.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTXFFt_YTpHwjeRwEj9JYjU67o_b9vles4F69ASB6xsz6j4xumVaWCX3fnfzyuqDtcDLs3UHCKBwJim-ydn2NhGJq8_KZ5pecf-t6vdk_gHh5yxd5WrD-kOjXTn6WodS7rInERLXGMIkc/s640/blogger-image--1924780306.jpg"></a></div><br></div>I even used fat quarters for the backing and bindings. Writing things down helps me to stay focused and complete those items. For me there is nothing more satisfying than crossing something off a to-do-list. Here is my 2016 Q1 To Do List<br />
1) Piece the top to my 2010 (yes 2010!) <a href="http://fatquartershop.blogspot.com/2010/02/fat-quarter-shops-2010-designer-mystery.html">Fat Quarter Shop Mystery Block of the Month</a>. It is lovely fabric from Kate Spain (12 Days of Christmas)<br />
2) Piece a second 2010 Mystery BOM quilt. I made enough blocks for 2 quilts that have been sitting around for 6 years.<br />
3) Make a baby quilt for my nephew who is expected in February 2016.<br />
4) Make a baby top with my finished blocks from my <a href="http://fatquartershop.blogspot.com/2013/01/2013-designer-mystery-block-of-month.html">2013 Fat Quarter Shop Mystery Block of the Month</a>, I actually kept up with these blocks but never finished the top.<br />
6) I have 4 flimsies with their backs hanging in my closet, I would like to get these 4 basted and quilted. They will then be donated.

I'm a little late to the Spell it With Moda party. Here is my first letter mini for my youngest. She's obsessed with pink and orange so Me and My Sister Designs fabric was perfect for her.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoqVt9ZpoYC9V5ZDjKd2ECWxiietr3R4F3I9cCZAVqjtdaIsEIQnM3_Wgy9945HapGZ7LwqjhJHu_2uJpnAP6BGOhhcos8O7lSScW2zJ-RsRp855F1PEmKGaxtwhh6fViN9krMVNnVBtM/s640/blogger-image--1171388628.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoqVt9ZpoYC9V5ZDjKd2ECWxiietr3R4F3I9cCZAVqjtdaIsEIQnM3_Wgy9945HapGZ7LwqjhJHu_2uJpnAP6BGOhhcos8O7lSScW2zJ-RsRp855F1PEmKGaxtwhh6fViN9krMVNnVBtM/s640/blogger-image--1171388628.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I needed a quick and easy project and this was so fun and easy. I made a K yesterday for my other mini. Hers is a lovely mix of pinks from Me and My Sisters Designs as well. Sewing the binding down tonight.</div>
