I finished 3 full stars and another half star this past weekend on the way to my parent's house for some family photos. My star count is up to 28 with many, many more to go.
Some people have asked about the fabrics or commented on the scrappiness of the quilt. I am using leftover pieces from every quilt that I have made. Once my stars are finished (no timeline), I will have a history of the quilts that I have given away. This grouping of stars, from the top around clockwise includes: fabric from my niece's baby quilt, fabric used to make a quilt for a young woman who I advise that was just diagnosed with cancer, and fabric from the quilt I made for my MIL's 60th birthday. The only fabric that I have actually bought for this quilt is the white.
I am linking up with Monday Morning Star Counts.

Loving the red star! I love the premise behind your fabrics too. Very cool!
That octopus is adorable!
I love the idea of using fabrics from all the quilts you have created….it makes a wonderful 'memory' quilt! Great progress and I love all the fabrics!
What a great idea to use fabrics from all your other quilts!
What a gorgeous way to use scraps
This is the most practical idea for usage of scraps I've ever seen!
I love the use of fabrics from other quilts! What a memory-laden quilt.
I'm just about to start this quilt ... thanks for the inspiration.
What a great quilt you will have at the end of all this. A lovely idea!
