I whipped up pillowcases for my neice and nephew and I have one more pinned and ready to go for my youngest. She wanted to sew it herself (at 4) so we will make it tonight. Super simple tube method pillowcase with French seams.

Sunday Sewing
My mom asked for some mug rugs using any scraps from the quilts I made every one for Christmas. I was able to cut up 3.5 inch squares and make 5 mug rugs using scraps from just 1 quilt. I also practice some FMQ such as orange peel and writing. I used up most of the leftover grey fabric that I used for the appliquéd grey ribbons on the quilts.

Sunday Sewing
My littlest got her big girl bed a few weeks ago and requested pink and orange pillowcases. We made her pillowcases together this morning.
She was very excited to do a big girl thing like sewing. When I bought her pillowcase fabric I found this great elephant fabric by Dear Stella and picked some up to make pillowcases for both girls. My girls are elephant obsessed.
