I have been a volunteer quilter for Quilts for Kids, Inc. for about 2 years. This is a fantastic charity that utilizes volunteers to make quilts for children and infants that are in the hospital. They send you the fabric and a pattern. You piece the quilt, purchase your own batting, quilt and machine bind and send it back. There are no local chapters so I am supporting the local organization. I strongly recommend that you stop by Quilts for Kids, Inc. and request a quilt kit and help to brighten the day of a sick child!
